Liberty Festival in Trafalgar Square

The Annual Liberty free festival is London’s biggest showcase of disabled performers.

The festival promotes the rights of deaf and disabled people and celebrates the diverse talents of disabled artists. There are street arts, circus performers, comedy acts, visual arts, live music and activities for children in the square.

The performers were filmed live on the day and edited on site. The video was updated throughout the day and displayed on screens in the square as shown on this video taken in 2008.

The festival comes from organisers at the Mayor of London’s office with support from Attitude is Everything, London Disability Arts Forum and Shape.
